Here is a way to install the HID lights on your bike. The ninja 250 has easy compartments to put large ballasts. After riding around a while with this system, the wattage is is much lower, and even idles at 14! which is what i usually got while riding! close up of ballast ![]() ![]() some bolts, we will need these. are are going to drill into the inner plastic, and these bolts hold the ballast into the plastic ![]() first step, it removing the seat and left plastic ![]() Now we will remove the seat and install the positive and rear cable ![]() This is the cable that goes into the batt ![]() Its pretty simple really ![]() ![]() Now route the wires.. You need to find a place so the wires do not get damaged by the pressure of the seat. I routed mine under the gas tank bracket ![]() Now we need to remove the left plastic ![]() this is a big pain, but you can just remove enough to access it ![]() ![]() ![]() ' ![]() ![]() This is the plastic where you will drill ![]() and install the ballast like so ![]() You can remove the light bulb by turning the handlebar one way and just removing the bulb ![]() ![]() You will need a H7 BULB! ![]() See these two wires? You need to connect them to the part where it goes into the bulb. You can cut the connector to the old bulb, and hard wire them directly. ![]() Before i drilled i noticed the make of the drill machine ![]() ![]() ![]() the ballast is nicly mounted ![]() ![]() ![]() Now to connect all the wires Its a bit of work ![]() You have the wires coming from the batt to the ballast. The ballast is connected to the bulb, and the wiring of the bike(so when you turn it on, it switches the ballast on) You can cut the old connector if you are inclined.. And just hardwire the ballast wires ![]() After everything is mounted time to test it out ![]() ![]() ![]() Notice on the right is the HID and left is the high beam old bulb ![]()
